Lately: March 2018

Most of the photos below have been in posts on my regular blog. Lately, the cats seem a bit crazy. Tanzi is always hungry and whining, Pema has been growling all winter, and Shiva always wants to sit on my book when I am studying for classes.

Shiva seems like the most normal cat as of late. He's extra cuddly and sweet. He's anticipating seeing more birds and a few robins have been showing up in our yard.

Unfortunately, the feliway plug in didn't really seem to work on Pema.
 My little sunshine kitty.

Late Fall 2017: Hangry Tanzi and Avocado lover Pema

The boys have been extra hungry as the temperatures have cooled and I guess this is pretty typical behavior for cats at this time of year. Tanzi continues to be unusually hungry and despite his medical tests saying he was negative for hyperthyroidism, we worry he actually may have it. He is constantly hungry and looking for food. We did switch him to a wet food diet and perhaps we just need to feed him more small meals throughout the day. Perhaps we'll need to talk to the vet again soon and figure this out. I worry about that hangry little guy!

A fuzzy photo, but a fun way to show a typical day with the cats. All three on my legs while I lay on the couch. Oh and Pema has this habit of resting his head on my hand while he sleeps.
Poor Tanzi! All three cats cram into beds around the house, probably for warmth more than anything.
This reminds me of pictures of me sleeping on my mom when I was little! Shiva sleeping with his daddy.
The three little buggers waiting for me to stop cleaning and play with them.
Pema's new favorite food is avocado. I first noticed his obsession when I left a shell on the counter to go out to the composter. When I returned to it, I found it was completely cleaned out.

So the next time I went to eat one, I found Pema following me around and he was clearly interested in checking it out. I let him lick a little and he was obsessed! Shiva soon came over to join him and also loved the fruit. It can be bad for cats in larger amounts, so I limit how much they can eat. Essentially, they just lick a little and don't eat big chunks.
Taking pictures of my buddies with the DSLR.
So pretty glowing in the sunlight!
Curious little Pema.
Love this shot of Pema!

Fall 2017

Daddy is a jerk and leaves his papers on the stairs to go into the office. So Pema is a jerk in return and pulls them all down onto the ground and then meows.
Tanzi and Shiva like watching the little albino squirrel that visits us. Pema has no clue what's going on, even when I try to show him the squirrel.
I attempted to do yoga without the cats bugging me. Well that never works now, does it?
Good thing he's a little baby faced cutie. I forgive him for wanting to do yoga with his mama.
I've been saying this a lot lately, so I kind of wanted to buy the sign at Marshall's.
I left a clean pile of laundry in the foyer and Pema managed to find it.
 Shiva stretching in the sun.
I finally got a photo of Pema sticking his tongue out. I do this too when I am concentrating.
I was scanning family photos today and Shiva was my little genealogy buddy. He jumped on my back and stayed there for a while.
